Service Description: Ontario Structured Psychotherapy (OSP) services in Brampton, Halton, Mississauga, and South Etobicoke are delivered through a network of organizations led by CarePoint Health * in-person or virtual cognitive-behavioural therapy in a one-on-one format or group psychotherapy * client will be matched with a therapist for 10-12 sessions held weekly for 5-60 minutes 

Services can be provided for:
  • depression and low mood
  • generalized anxiety and worry
  • health anxiety
  • obsessive-compulsive concerns
  • other anxiety and stress-related problems
  • post-traumatic stress
  • social anxiety and performance fears
  • specific fears
  • unexpected panic attacks and agoraphobic fears
  • different supports are available to meet client's needs including individual or group psychotherapy
  • cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) focuses on practical strategies and skills to manage problems that happen in everyday life * provides strategies on how to manage unhelpful ways of thinking, face your fears and respond to situations in more adaptive ways

OSP does not offer:
  • Dialectic Behavioural Therapy (DBT)
  • Crisis management
  • Housing support
  • Concurrent disorders treatment
  • Chronic pain management
  • Medication management
  • Substance use treatment
  • Couples/family counselling



Fees: Free
Application: Self-referral or referral by healthcare providers * for residents of Mississauga and Halton, send referrals by fax to one-Link at 905-338-2878 * current wait time for an assessment is 21 days
Eligibility / Target Population: Adults (ages 18+) with a primary concern of depression or anxiety and able to actively engage in in OSP treatment * Ontario health card or primary care provider not required * must reside in Ontario
