Service Description: Nation-wide service created through a partnership between MedicAlert and the Alzheimer Society of Canada
  • if a person living with dementia goes missing, call 911 immediately
  • tracking device (or locating device) helps identify a person with dementia who is lost and assist them to safely return home
  • might also be appropriate for people with autism and developmental disabilities 



Helpful information for patients, family/caregivers of people with dementia can be found at Finding Your Way - education to recognize the risk of going missing, be prepared for incidents of going missing, and ensure that people with dementia can live safely in the community

Fees: Besides the initial purchase cost, there might be monthly fees to keep the device active and operational
Application: Call for information * professionals can refer patient by sending referral to First Link at Alzheimer Society Peel * other areas contact the appropriate Alzheimer Society chapter
