Vaccination is an effective way to prevent the spread and reduce the impact of diseases * COVID-19 is a respiratory illness that can cause mild to severe illness, with similar symptoms to the flu and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) * COVID-19 vaccine does not cause a coronavirus infection * COVID-19 vaccines are not mandatory but people are strongly encouraged to get vaccinated * eligibility for vaccines is based on age and risk
